Senior Infrastructure Technical Lead (Teradata) Join Westpac as a Senior Infrastructure Technical Lead (Teradata). In this role you will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Teradata solutions, implement database security controls, collaborate with application teams and stakeholders, enhance automation using DevOps tools, prepare documentation, presentations, and workshops, drive performance tuning and optimisation across Teradata platforms, stay current with emerging Teradata technologies, and act as an escalation point for complex database issues and critical incidents. Essential Qualifications Deep understanding of Teradata database technology stack architecture, including infrastructure and storage, and experience with deployments in cloud providers such as Azure and AWS. Advanced knowledge of database security best practices, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements. Expertise in scripting and tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar. Proficiency in performance tuning, using diagnostic tools and settings to optimise databases. Exposure to PostgreSQL, Cosmos, or other NoSQL databases. Desirable Qualifications Advanced SQL, Python, and Shell development skills. Experience across the holistic technology stack. Teradata certification (highly desirable but not mandatory). Why join us?
