Case Management Officer at Corrective Services NSW Location: Cessnock Correctional Complex, Newcastle, NSW, AU Employment type: Full Time (Ongoing) Salary: $99,938 – $110,270 per annum plus employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading. Responsibilities As a Case Management Officer you will work directly with inmates in a custodial setting to support their rehabilitation and reduce reoffending. Your main tasks include: Developing and implementing person‑centred case plans using evidence‑based assessments. Utilising motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate meaningful behaviour change. Collaborating closely with Senior Case Management Officers and other stakeholders to provide high‑quality, responsive case management services that adapt to changing needs. Training Requirements Attend operational training and attain Certificate IV in Correctional Practice as required by the agency. Complete critical security, work‑safe procedures and role‑specific training. Qualifications & Experience Relevant qualifications or experience in case management, human services, or related fields. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds facing complex challenges, including family, social, or drug and alcohol issues. Strong organisational and self‑management skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team. Resilience and emotional intelligence to navigate complex and sensitive situations within a custodial environment.
