North Brisbane Sleep and Thoracic – Albion QLD Due to practice expansion, we are seeking a professional specialist receptionist to join our caring team at North Brisbane Sleep and Thoracic (NBST), a busy Sleep Centre and Respiratory Specialist practice. This part‑time position is 37.5 hours per fortnight and perfect for those who take pride in creating a calm, organised and patient‑focussed environment. As the first point of contact, you will play a critical role in ensuring our patients feel supported from the moment they arrive and be part of a professional team that values patient care. ABOUT YOU You are a great communicator and know the importance of answering the phone with a reassuring voice. You have exceptional attention to detail combined with a positive and helpful approach to patient care. You are organised and committed to providers having accurate patient information to hand at the point of care. You can work autonomously but also cooperatively with other team members to achieve outcomes. You are comfortable using technology. You proactively seek knowledge to improve service delivery. THE POSITION You will be working in collaboration with a committed team of specialists, technicians and administrators coordinating the day‑to‑day practice requirements for consultations, sleep studies and respiratory testing. This role will be rostered at both North Lakes and Clayfield clinics, working part‑time hours with shifts varying between 7.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. TASKS Tasks you will be responsible for include (but are not limited to): Professionally answering incoming calls. Booking provider schedules for optimal efficiency. Collecting complete and accurate patient information. Maintaining an up‑to‑date referring provider database. Proficiently processing outpatient accounts. Accurately and securely manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.Ensuring quality standards are maintained. Managing tasks, recall registers, referral workflows. Providing patients with a supportive and friendly healthcare experience. Following policies and procedures to support privacy and good cyber hygiene practices. HIGHLY REGARDED Working knowledge of practice management software HealthTrack. Working knowledge of Medicare requirements and Health Fund terms. Working knowledge of Office365. Been in a similar medical administration role for a minimum of 1 year. Committed to upholding the Australian Privacy Principles.
