Saltbush is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Mentor to join our Employment Services team in Darwin. Location: Darwin Employment Type: Permanent Full-time Excellent Remuneration: $80k + 12% super + salary packaging + 5 weeks annual leave Reports To: Employment Services Manager Hours: Normal business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed Travel: Occasional travel to other Saltbush service locations The filling of the available roles is intended to constitute an affirmative measure under Section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975. You’ll help them navigate the challenges of finding and keeping work, offering guidance that’s grounded in respect and cultural understanding. Share Knowledge: Lead workshops and one‑on‑one sessions that not only teach but also inspire confidence and independence. What You Bring: Cultural Connection: Proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage and a deep understanding of the challenges our people face. Experience in Support: Background in employment services, with a special focus on working with Aboriginal communities would be highly regarded. A Heart for Community : Strong relationship‑building skills and a commitment to empowering others. Tech Savvy: Comfortable with MS Office and other tools to keep track of participant progress.
