Senior Associate - Professional Indemnity Join Gilchrist Connell as a Senior Associate - Professional Indemnity to support our Brisbane team. Your role will involve handling professional indemnity claims, advising clients on coverage and defense, and managing matters autonomously. Why the role? Responsibilities & Scope Exposed to a variety of insurance matters with a focus on professional indemnity. Manage client expectations and advise on complex policy issues with a practical, client‑focused approach. Run matters autonomously and communicate clearly and concisely. Provide coaching and mentoring of junior lawyers and support their professional growth. Negotiate and articulate commercial positions effectively. Qualifications & Experience 6+ years post‑admission experience in insurance matters. Strong knowledge and experience in litigation and insurance law, including coverage and defense claims. Ability to manage client expectations and advise on policy and complex issues. Aptitude to run matters autonomously. Clear, concise communication style. Commercial approach with effective negotiation skills. Experience coaching and mentoring lawyers. Strong interest in advancing your career.
