This means we can effectively bridge the gaps between these fields, ensuring that the disability support needs of our participants are always recognised, prioritised, and met with care and attention About the role: As an NDIS Support Coordinator, you will work with participants to search for, coordinate, and implement all supports in their plan, including informal, mainstream, community, and funded services and resources, whilst you actively support participants to build on their skills and work with them to increase their ability to access their local community and achieve greater independence. Possible side effects may include fits of laughter and a noticeable boost in your caffeine consumption Key functions: Support NDIS participants in implementing their NDIS plans, including helping them identify and select providers. Use creative problem-solving to achieve positive outcomes. Effectively manage crises as they arise. Optimise participant plans to ensure the best use of funded support while keeping expenses within budget. Empower participants to self‑direct their own support arrangements. Assist NDIS participants in preparing for their plan reviews. Maintain clear, accurate, and timely record‑keeping. Uphold a professional and ethical approach to supporting people with disabilities, with a commitment to meeting their individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals. Meet KPI targets related to service delivery billing. While this role is mostly remote, you will be required to meet with local participants within the community as needed. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate strong IT, administrative, and computer literacy. Show exceptional active listening skills and communicate with politeness, empathy, and tact. Criteria: Previous experience as a Coordinator of Support or in a related field is essential. Strong administrative skills are a must. A minimum Diploma in Community Services, Mental Health, Counselling, Welfare Support, Disability Support, Social Work, or a related area is required. Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’, along with a copy of the completion certificate. A current Driver's Licence is necessary. A valid NSW Working with Children Check is required. A valid NDIS Worker Check is necessary (or you must be willing to apply for one).
