In the capacity of a Team Leader | Gardener at Avagoodweekend Greenscapes, located in Brisbane, QLD, your primary responsibility will be the meticulous maintenance and enhancement of the lush gardens and expansive grounds of our esteemed commercial and residential properties. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring that our clients' homes and estates are always presented to the highest possible standard, reflecting our commitment to excellence. What you'll be doing Your duties will encompass all aspects of garden and grounds maintenance. You will be tasked with the development and implementation of detailed schedules and strategic plans to ensure the efficient and effective upkeep of gardens, lawns, hedges, flowerbeds, and other landscaping features. You will be expected to identify and promptly address any issues or areas requiring attention, and adapt plans accordingly to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the properties. Your role will also involve hands‑on gardening work as required, including tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mowing. It is essential that all work is completed to a consistently high standard and in strict compliance with relevant safety regulations. You will also liaise with clients to understand their preferences and provide them with regular updates on the condition and maintenance of their gardens. What we're looking for We are seeking a candidate with significant experience (2+ years) in a gardening. You should possess strong practical gardening and horticulture skills, with expertise in maintaining a wide variety of plants, lawns, hedges, and other landscaping features. Excellent organisational and time management abilities are required to efficiently plan and coordinate all gardening tasks. A customer‑focused approach is essential, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and understand their preferences. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional standards of presentation and care are also crucial. Relevant qualifications in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field would be highly regarded.
