To do this, IEEFA seeks to inform and influence policymakers, investors, media, and communities through rigorous, fact-based financial analysis. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports. Our major research reports, daily commentaries, press coverage and other resources can be found on our website: The Role: IEEFA is seeking a Global Communications Project Manager for a newly created full-time remote role. IEEFA’s communications staff are embedded in five regional teams in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South Asia. This regional model has proven highly effective, allowing outreach to be tailored to local contexts and policy environments. The Global Communications Project Manager will ensure IEEFA maintains a cohesive global brand and that cross-regional projects, campaigns, and assets are managed strategically and efficiently to the benefit of all regional teams. This is a global remote position, and we welcome applicants from many countries. Due to local employment regulations, we are currently unable to hire candidates in certain countries, including France, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Brazil or Argentina. Key Responsibilities Strategic Communications Design and implement global campaigns aligned with cross-regional research priorities and organizational strategy in collaboration with the Global Management Team Monitor global trends in energy, finance, and policy to support strategic planning and ensure IEEFA’s communications stay timely and relevant Support partnerships with aligned organizations, media outlets, and thought leaders to expand IEEFA’s global visibility and amplify key messages Implement and uphold visual and editorial branding standards to ensure all global products reflect IEEFA’s core values of intellectual leadership, teamwork, and effectiveness Collaborate with IEEFA communications leads, analysts, and partners to identify strategic narratives and priority issues for external communications Track and evaluate communications performance, global reach, and media impact using defined metrics and tools to inform continuous improvement Manage IEEFA’s global digital channels (including website, social media, and newsletters) to ensure consistent, high-impact messaging across platforms Supervise the Web Content Lead to ensure the development of cohesive website projects that are regionally consistent and optimized for an excellent user experience Champion digital innovation across IEEFA’s platforms, including webinars and interactive data storytelling Internal Collaboration & Capacity Building Strengthen cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing through proactive internal communications Partner with IT to ensure communications software (CRM, media monitoring, data visualization) effectively support regional teams’ needs Facilitate the meetings of IEEFA’s Global Communications Team to promote knowledge sharing and coordination among regional communications managers Provide reports to the Global Management Team on global communications progress, initiatives, and outcomes, joining meetings as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or regional equivalent) in Communications, Journalism, or a related field At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or media relations, ideally in a research, academic, or policy-oriented nonprofit environment At least three years of strong leadership and project management skills Demonstrated success managing sophisticated digital campaigns and online engagement strategies Strong facilitator with the ability to build consensus and compromise. Skill in conflict resolution, negotiation, and clearly communicating decisions and rationales Exceptional writing, editing, and strategic thinking skills Commitment to sustainable energy and IEEFA’s mission Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Familiarity with key topics and issues related to the energy transition. Experience coordinating remotely across multiple international regions or time zones Work Schedule: Remote, full-time. Due to required collaboration with international teams, the schedule will include some early morning or later evening hours with time off to compensate elsewhere in the schedule to accommodate meetings in different time zones. Travel: Some travel will be required, including regional and international trips for IEEFA team meetings. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The Global Communications Project Manager will work remotely. Must be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer. Computer work can involve repetitive motion, eyestrain, back and neck strain. Hiring Range: USD 100,584 - USD 121,392 or local equivalent based on currency and cost of living adjustment. Benefits and holidays are determined based on the country of residence. All employees receive a one-time home office set-up allowance, monthly cell phone and internet stipend, optional co-working rental support and minimum of 20 days vacation and 10 days of sick leave.
