About the Role The Senior Technical Project Manager leads complex software and technology projects end‑to‑end, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The role partners with engineering, product, and senior client stakeholders to align technical deliverables with business outcomes, drives clarity across multiple workstreams, and manages risks and governance. Role Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex technology projects, proactively managing risks, controlling variance, and ensuring alignment to strategic outcomes from initiation through closure. Define, document, and govern project deliverables, scope, and timelines, holding senior stakeholders accountable for commitments and ensuring cross‑functional alignment. Develop, maintain, and drive an integrated project plan encompassing all technical workstreams with visibility of critical paths and dependencies. Lead agile delivery teams, guiding sprint planning, prioritisation, agile cadences, and ensuring delivery discipline while managing overall timelines. Lead all financial aspects of the project, including team capacity and budget management, and reporting to maintain financial health throughout the lifecycle. Facilitate governance forums such as senior working groups and steering committees, driving informed decision‑making and timely escalation of issues. Oversee all PM dimensions: risk/issue management, tracking, reporting, quality assurance, workflow, change management, and stakeholder communication. Manage and orchestrate cross‑stream dependencies, including complex internal and external technical and business dependencies. Engage deeply with technical teams, understand integrations, design, and delivery constraints, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Review functional specs, solution design and user stories to ensure business and technical requirements are mapped, dependencies identified, and a clear critical path established. Role Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or recognised certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile). 8–12+ years’ experience in project management, with a demonstrated track record delivering large‑scale, complex digital or technology initiatives. Experience delivering software projects with budgets of $5 million or more across multiple technical streams. Demonstrated capability engaging, presenting to, and influencing senior executives and C‑suite stakeholders. Extensive experience delivering complex technical projects across the full SDLC, with successful delivery from inception to production. Strong experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
