The Office of Digital Government is looking to establish a pool of Cyber Security professionals that will help protect the Government’s information assets through the coordination and delivery of cyber programmes and controls. The pool will operate for a period of 24 months, and will be accessed by other Public Sector agencies, where fixed term and/or permanent appointments may be made. About the Role As a Principal Cyber Security Analyst, you will draw on your expertise of cyber security threats, cyber situational awareness, incident management to support agencies in meeting the requirements of the WA Cyber Security Policy. We are seeking applicants with skills and specialities across the cyber security discipline, including any of the following: Network monitoring, firewall/security device configuration, incident response, threat hunting and threat intelligence Government, Risk, and Compliance: Assessment of cyber and information security risk, implementation and/or monitoring of security frameworks Knowledge of industry standard and good practice (for example, the Australian Signals Directorate Essential 8, ISO 27001 family, NIST Cyber Security Framework) Assurance activities including gap analysis, audit/review, and vulnerability assessment Security testing including vulnerability assessments Knowledge of contemporary enterprise IT environments. Knowledge of common cloud platforms and concepts (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Office 365). Knowledge of the public sector and state government.
