The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 3000 team members. We are now looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager - Transport to lead our Victorian transport operations based at Hume Road, Laverton North in Melbourne . This is a critical leadership role responsible for the effective execution of our day-to-day state transport operation. You'll lead a diverse team, ensure safe and efficient delivery performance and identify opportunities for growth through strong commercial and customer relationships. What you’ll be doing Lead the Victorian transport operation to deliver safe, efficient daily performance Manage, coach and develop a team including drivers, planners, allocators and administrators Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, mass and fatigue management and NHVR requirements Deliver service excellence for key customers and proactively resolve issues Identify growth opportunities and contribute to commercial development in the state Drive operational efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement Manage assets including servicing and maintenance schedules Maintain compliance with HACCP, food safety and cold-chain requirements Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders Safety at Lineage - our first priority, our constant mindset Lead by example as a visible, proactive safety champion Ensure every team member returns home safely every day Embed safe systems of work and best practice behaviours Uphold product safety, quality and regulatory compliance Actively promote a culture of speaking up for safety is encouraged and expected What you’ll bring Experience in a similar role in transport or 3PL Experience in cold chain logistics and temperature-sensitive freight Proven leadership experience managing medium-sized teams Strong understanding of CoR principles and regulatory frameworks Experience managing budgets, targets and financial reporting Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and issue resolution Experience with HACCP, food safety and critical control points Strong IT capability - Microsoft Office, WMS and TMS systems Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing operational environment Professional, collaborative leadership style with commercial focus The Lineage Difference Global industry leader with strong growth across Australia Opportunity to make a real impact in a senior operational role Inclusive, values-driven culture focused on Safety, Trust, Respect, Innovation and Boldness Lineage is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic work environment and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
