Information & Communications Technician

Amentum – Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia Position Title: Information and Communication Electronic Technician We are looking for a technician to support the OASIS departments with electronic systems. This role requires minimal supervision and responsibility for periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, and system operation. Essential Responsibilities Conduct preventative maintenance work on all electronic systems. Perform planning of equipment, tools and materials needed to complete tasks. Undertake initial fault‑finding analysis and implement solutions. Maintain reliable operation of all aspects of the Security system. Maintain, repair site electronics e.g. CATV, DVDs and Projectors. Install and repair fibre‑optic networks associated with IT system infrastructure. Maintain electronic circuits and schematic diagrams. Perform tasks for project efforts as required. Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices at the site. Perform other reasonable duties as requested. Qualifications Year 12 completion. Formal qualifications in Electronics. Equivalent demonstrated experience. Field: relevant discipline. ACMA certification – Coaxial. Qualification in Terrestrial Digital Transmission. Certificate III, Certificate IV. Trade Qualification. Undergraduate Degree. Post Graduate Qualification. Tickets and Licences Drivers Licence. ACMA certificate with structured, fibre‑optic endorsements. LV Rescue. White Card. Confined Space. Working at Heights. Elevated Work Platform. First Aid. Electrical Skills maintenance. Forklift License. HSR Training. CPR. Experience and Skills 1‑2 years’ experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders. Experience with MS Office operating system. Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demand Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10 kg, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines. Security Clearance Requirement It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top‑Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly. Statement Of Work Requirements At least 18 years of age. Able to fluently read, write and speak English. EHS Requirement Completing work tasks in a safe manner. Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager. Continuous adherence to the environmental, health and safety procedures outlined in the EHS Handbook during the performance of their work.
