Technology Wood and Metal Secondary Teacher Teaching Subject: Design, Engineering Studies, Industrial Technology, Technology Contract Type: Permanent/Ongoing Position Full Time Applications Close: 17 November 2025 We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Wood and Metal Teacher to deliver engaging, hands‑on learning experiences for our students. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of working with materials in a supportive, well‑equipped workspace within our brand‑new technology building. St Francis Catholic College is a co‑educational, multi‑campus secondary school, governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN . MACS is the employer of employees at St Francis Catholic College. Known and respected for its learning and wellbeing programs, the College opened a new campus in Cobblebank in 2023 with an intake of 140 Year 7 students and will accommodate up to 1,500 Year 7‑12 students by 2028. Our Year 7‑12 Melton West campus with its exceptional facilities and secondary pathways is the foundation upon which our new campus will be modelled. Responsibilities Deliver Technology Wood and Metal lessons to students, fostering a love of working with materials in a supportive workspace. Plan and assess learning outcomes, aligning with curriculum and student needs. Use modern technology to support student learning, implementing a differentiated curriculum. Work collaboratively with staff, parents/guardians, community groups and other teachers. Manage classroom resources, people, and time effectively, demonstrating leadership in best practice. Qualifications Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification. Strong commitment to Catholic education. Ability to develop and maintain professional, caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an engaging, challenging learning environment that caters for all students. Eagerness to learn and enthusiastically implement differentiated curriculum. Special Requirements Understanding and commitment to providing a safe environment for children, supporting a child‑safe culture. Hold Victorian Institute of Teaching registration. Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred. Additional Requirements Valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights.
