About the property With a rich history dating back to 1850 the hotel is an iconic landmark in Western Australia. The hotel offers 300 spacious refurbished rooms across ten different room categories, two pools, multiple conferencing & event spaces, as well as a restaurant and three different bars. If so, we are looking for someone just like you The iconic Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges is currently seeking a Front Desk Guest Service Agent to join our team to fill both day and night shifts. Responsibilities Delivering outstanding customer service to all guests. Check guests in and out with efficiency and friendliness and in accordance with the established Hotel procedural guidelines. Reporting to the Front Office Manager you will attend to all guest requests and queries from booking enquiry through to departure. General hotel office duties including but not limited to – taking bookings, checking guests in and out, assigning rooms. Communicate any guest special request to the appropriate department(s) and follow up to make certain the request has been fulfilled in accordance with the guest’s wishes. Have a full working knowledge of all current room rates and packages available at the Hotel. Adhere to all established cashiering policies and procedures. Ensure in conjunction with front office and accounts the AR setup and charge back authorities follow hotel credit procedures. Skills & experience To be short listed for this great role, you will need to possess the following skills: Energetic, motivated and efficient at multi-tasking while working independently. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Comfortable working both day and overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Previous hotel experience is preferred. Opera PMS experience is highly desirable. Availability to work night shifts will be considered favorably.
