Teacher – Early Childhood Education (Full‑time, Fixed Term) Join the Department of Education, Western Australia, as a Teacher – Early Childhood Education, starting Term 1, 2026 at Banksia Park Primary School, Leeming. The position is a 12‑month fixed term with the potential for extension or permanency. Overview of the School Banksia Park Primary School provides a supportive environment where children develop cognitive, creative, physical and social skills. The school serves Kindergarten to Year 6 and recognises diverse student talents, interests and needs. Key Responsibilities Teach and support students in the Pre‑primary classroom, ensuring all learners succeed and develop. Use a play‑based philosophy combined with explicit direct instruction for core curriculum. Analyse student data to inform planning, teaching, assessment, and planning cycles, embedding evidence‑based practices. Engage learners effectively, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in classroom observation and instructional coaching as part of a growth‑focused team. Implement explicit literacy and numeracy strategies, including whole‑school approaches such as Promoting Literacy Development and Hegarty. Contribute to an inclusive, culturally responsive school culture and support the school’s teaching and learning framework. Qualifications & Experience Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration. Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment. Experience with early childhood curricula, data‐driven instruction, play‑based learning and explicit teaching strategies. Can‑do attitude, collaborative spirit, and commitment to professional growth.
