Early Childhood Educator - Casual Opportunities (Sandhills Early Childhood Centre) We are looking for caring, nurturing and creative educators to join Sandhills Early Childhood Centre, a council-operated 59-place centre located in the heart of Byron Bay. The centre offers natural and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces abundant with trees, wildlife, garden beds, rockeries and grassed areas. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, creative, and supportive team culture in a spacious and natural environment within walking distance of the Byron foreshore. Our service strives to nurture each child’s sense of belonging as part of a strong connected community, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. We are looking for: An Exceptional Early Childhood Educator to assist in delivering a nurturing, creative, engaging, and intentional program that enhances children’s learning and development, strengthens partnerships with families and aligns with the National Quality Framework. Casual opportunities available. You Will: Work with a team of exceptional educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework. Receive the Federal Government’s early childhood worker retention payment (additional 10% of the base Children’s Services award rate). Be paid between $38.40/hr and $49.24/hr (based on experience and qualifications) plus the worker retention payment of about $3/hr. Be eligible for flexible working arrangements. Qualifications & Experience: Experience working with children in a long day care environment. Strong commitment to early childhood education and care. Effective communication skills with children, parents and staff.
