North East Community Support Group Inc – Zillmere QLD North-East Community Support Group Inc. (NECSG), which operates the Zillmere Community Centre, is seeking four new volunteer committee members: President Treasurer Two General Committee Members This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute your skills and leadership to a well-respected neighbourhood centre in Brisbane's northside. About Zillmere Community Centre The Zillmere Community Centre is a safe and welcoming place where people connect, share skills, and build community. Through social inclusion programs, emergency relief, community events, and partnerships, we support individuals and families to thrive. Our mission is to equip and empower the community through connection, capacity building, and access to services. The Committee NECSG is governed by a volunteer management committee. The committee plays a vital role in overseeing governance, financial stewardship, and strategic direction, working closely with the Centre Manager and staff team. Committee members meet monthly in Zillmere, with occasional additional commitments such as sub‑committee work or community events. Who We Are Looking For We are currently recruiting for: President – strong leadership, governance, and communication skills; chairs meetings, represents the Centre publicly, and helps guide strategic direction. Treasurer – background in NFP finance, accounting, or bookkeeping; oversees financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, in collaboration with our bookkeeper and auditor. Committee Members (x2) – ideally with experience in community not‑for‑profits, neighbourhood centres, or community services; support governance, strategy, and decision‑making. We welcome applications from people who have: Experience in governance, management, finance, or community services. An understanding of not‑for‑profit compliance and fiduciary responsibilities (or willingness to learn). A collaborative, respectful, and inclusive approach.
