Location : Multiple Western Health sites Employment Type : Ongoing, Full-Time Salary : Grade 4 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging About the role Western Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Lead Pharmacist – Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Services to provide leadership, strategic direction, and clinical expertise across these critical care areas. This position is permanent, full-time and available now Key responsibilities : As Lead Pharmacist, you will : Provide strategic guidance and leadership to optimise pharmacy services across Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Services. Drive service improvement initiatives, monitor performance, and implement innovation to enhance patient outcomes. Oversee clinical pharmacy services to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based medication management. Lead quality improvement, governance, and change management processes, contributing to divisional and organisational standards of excellence. Manage, support, and mentor Senior Pharmacists and Clinical Rotational Pharmacists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team. Promote education, training, and research opportunities, supporting continuous professional development and practice advancement. About you : You are a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise and the ability to influence and inspire others. You will bring : Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration with AHPRA. Minimum 8 years of hospital clinical pharmacy experience, including significant expertise in emergency medicine and / or intensive care. Proven leadership and line management experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, quality improvement, and service innovation. Desirable qualifications include a recognised postgraduate Master's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) and active involvement in professional organisations or special interest groups.
