A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card Experience working with students of all primary ages The ability to work collaboratively with CGS team members Experience working with students with additional needs, e.g. behavioural support, learning support, social support, and emotional support Well‑developed organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programmes to students The ability to assist with the general well‑being of students Hold or be willing to obtain HLTAID009 – Provide CPR and HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting certifications Well‑developed organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programs to students Sound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals Sound interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team For Learning Assistant roles in ELC and Pre‑K Classrooms: Hold or be actively working toward a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Education Support Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and knowledge of the National Quality Standards All team members at CGS are required to have: A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card A current National Police Check A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification Full working rights within Australia Excellent written English and effective interpersonal communication skills Excellent understanding of all elements of learning and teaching Benefits for you At Canberra Grammar School, we believe our people are our greatest strength.
