The Opportunity We are seeking experienced Strategic Communications Managers to support a highly classified national‑security program. Working onsite in Brisbane or Melbourne, you will design and deliver end‑to‑end internal communication strategies that drive engagement, guide organisational change, and support mission‑critical outcomes. This role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional with deep experience operating in secure or intelligence environments who thrives in fast‑moving, high‑stakes settings. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement evidence‑based communication and engagement strategies Craft high‑quality content across multiple channels (eDMs, intranet, publications, briefs, social formats) Partner with senior leaders and subject‑matter experts to influence outcomes Provide expert advice to guide communication planning, messaging, and execution Conduct research and use data to support evidence‑based decisions Prepare reports and briefings for executives Manage timelines, deliverables, and communication artefacts in alignment with program schedules Qualifications Demonstrated experience managing major internal communication initiatives Strong strategic communication planning and execution capability Expertise in writing for diverse audiences and in multiple content formats Experience developing communication products across digital, written, and visual channels Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively Proven ability to operate calmly and effectively in complex, high‑sensitivity environments Recent (3–5 years) experience in intelligence, Defence, or similar secure settings is highly desirable Security Clearance You must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current AGSVA TSPV clearance. Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA). Unfortunately, clearance upgrades are not available for this role. Contact Interested?
