Oral Health Therapist - Specialist Orthodontic Practice Menai Orthodontics is a specialised orthodontic practice seeking an experienced Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist to join our team and support our three orthodontic specialists. We are committed to providing high-quality orthodontic care and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Our practice offers a positive, fast-paced working environment with ongoing opportunities for professional and personal development. About the role: Working within a professional and collaborative team alongside three Orthodontic Specialists. Wide range of responsibilities with patient management being the highest priority. Hours: Tuesday and Thursday, 7.45am to 5.00pm . Key personality traits: Bright, friendly and engaging personality. Highly organised and values quality patient care. Shows initiative and excellent attention to detail. High level of competency in chairside assisting and administrative duties. Keen to expand skills in a specialist field with a long-term view as our practice continues to grow. Qualifications/Experience/Essential Requirements: Bachelor of Oral Health. Current registration in Australia. Orthodontic experience preferred. Experience in Orthotrac software advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Key Skills: Providing orthodontic treatment independently and under the direction of an orthodontist. Cleaning and preparing tooth surfaces ready for orthodontic procedures. Placing and fitting brackets and bands. Preparing, inserting, adjusting and removing archwires prescribed by an orthodontist. Clinical record taking: intra and extra-oral photographs records, intraoral scans. Inserting passive removable appliances (e.g., space maintainers and retainers) and active removable appliances adjusted previously by an orthodontist. Fitting tooth separators. Placement and removal of fixed appliances. Providing emergency orthodontic care. Maintaining detailed patient records and treatment plans. Adhering to all practice policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
