Lead Maintenance Planner – Fixed Plant Maintenance George Fisher Mine – Mining Fixed Plant Maintenance Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Ref No. 41825 Please note this position is for current internal employees only. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Lead Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic and high‑performing team. This position is within the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department, working as part of a diverse planning team. The role is on a residential basis in Mount Isa, working a lifestyle‑focused 9‑day fortnight. Reporting directly to the Senior Maintenance Planner, you will provide technical direction and oversight for maintenance activities, deliver Total Asset Strategies using work management processes to optimize asset performance with a holistic business approach. You will lead a team to build a safe and empowering work environment, focusing on continuous improvements that adhere to compliance, regulatory, statutory, and legislative requirements. To be successful, you will build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, strive to be open, share knowledge, and actively participate as part of a high‑performing team while embodying Glencore values: safety, responsibility, entrepreneurialism, openness, and simplicity. The role also involves active promotion of a safety culture through practices, procedures, training, and development activities, maintaining constant meaningful interaction with operators and maintenance providers to ensure business operations are carried out. Key responsibilities Delivery of weekly schedules through SAP for maintenance execution departments Procurement of resources, parts and materials, ensuring availability for all scheduled work Championing maintenance work‑management process and mentoring team members Supporting supervisors and management team to achieve KPI targets Custodian of SAP ensuring all maintenance records are retained as per standards Candidate requirements Ideally seeking a candidate who holds a trade certificate or relevant tertiary qualification Proven experience in maintenance planning and asset management Understanding of mining legislation, standards and statutory compliance requirements Planning and scheduling experience with SAP or similar CMMS Exposure to large mining or manufacturing environments Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word) Ability to demonstrate a high standard and commitment to a safe work culture For any further questions please contact: Bec McManus on .
