No. 39597 Mount Isa Mines are seeking qualified applicants for the role of Planner – Short term for the George Fisher Mine Planning Department. The Role This challenging position will be responsible for delivering maintenance schedules for George Fisher Mine within the portfolio. It is a permanent, residential role in Mount Isa with a 5/2, 4/3 roster. Key Responsibilities Delivery of weekly schedules through SAP for maintenance execution departments Procurement of resources, parts and materials ensuring availability for all scheduled work Championing Maintenance Work Management process and mentoring team members Supporting supervisors and management team to achieve weekly KPI targets Custodian of SAP ensuring all maintenance records are retained as per standards Ensuring completed work orders are time confirmed and have adequate completion comments Review cost commitment reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with budget allocations Provide input into the monthly forecast identifying costs to be assigned to upcoming monthly period Create service purchase requisitions as required ensuring costs are allocated to the correct cost centre and expense element Review outstanding service orders and prepare end‑of‑month accruals to ensure expenses are accounted for in the correct reporting period Ensure contractor labour costs are tracked and reported accurately, ensuring timesheets match actual hours worked onsite by reviewing gate times Qualifications and Skills Mechanical / Electrical Trade certificate or Asset Management qualification preferred Understanding of mining legislation, standards and statutory compliance requirements Planning and scheduling experience with SAP or similar CMMS Exposure to large mining or manufacturing environments Intermediate level of Microsoft Office suite; Project, Excel, Word Ability to demonstrate a high standard and commitment to a safe work culture A strong financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting and cost management Applications Close: 8:00am Monday 8th December 2025 For further information contact: Bec McManus on Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Other Industries Mining #J-18808-Ljbffr
