Serving Ferntree Gully and surrounding suburbs, we specialise in take-home meals that see people through all phases and stages of life. Our cafe dine in menu is nostalgic, and combined with our home made sweets, has a tendency to make customers feel 'at home'. While we pride ourselves on making everything in house, our retail selection is a collection of the best products available locally, so that we can support our local community. At Larder and Thyme, we value every customer that walks through the door, and we want them to feel that our little cafe is a place of connection and support. If you are a chef who is friendly, trustworthy, and keen to be part of a tight knit team who makes a difference for the local community, this could be the job for you. You will be working with a small team, helping with the preparation of good quality meals that feel like home, for our local community, alongside items for our dine in/take home menu. Although we all have our designated sections, as our small cafe is more like a second home for us, we all chip in and help out in different sections as needed. The right candidate will: be able to work well in our team be available weekdays for at least 3 days a week (approximately 20 hours) be available to work some days until 7pm have previous experience in a similar role have obtained at least a Cert III in Commercial Cookery be able to follow health and safety guidelines be friendly with customers and able to develop a good rapport know (or be willing to learn) how to make coffees and process transactions What we offer: appropriate training opportunity to contribute to the menu all Sundays and public holidays off opportunity to develop skill base potential for more hours #J-18808-Ljbffr
