We have a permanent full‑time position for a Barista / Cafe Allrounder at our Knoxfield care home. This role creates a friendly and customer‑service environment where residents and their families can socialize over a hot or cold beverage or snack. The responsibilities include: Welcoming all customers with a warm, friendly, and helpful personality. Service of a range of snacks including hot and cold sandwiches, cakes, muffins, etc. Preparation and service of hot and cold (non‑alcoholic) beverages – you must have a barista certificate and an ability to make high‑quality coffee. Cleaning of kitchen, service areas, and dining area around the coffee shop. Follow and carry out daily, weekly and monthly procedures to maintain high quality cafe operations. Work with the Chef Manager to coordinate supplies needed to run the cafe properly. Ensure the cafe area is free of workplace hazards, trips, slips, or other items that may create a safety issue. Maintain a professional, respectful and inviting cafe environment that reflects well on our company. Assist in or provide backup support in dining room service when required. Our community event, Our Infinite Table – YouTube , brings residents together to share food, stories, and companionship. This is a physical role that requires bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items. You must be able to perform these tasks safely without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues, or our residents. About You We hire on attitude and aptitude, so experience in the aged care sector is not necessary. Formal qualifications such as a Cert II in hospitality are highly regarded, but we value a friendly disposition, willingness to help others, and experience in a customer service or hospitality environment such as retail, coffee shop, bar, or restaurant. The ideal candidate will: Have demonstrated barista café hospitality experience with a passion for providing friendly customer service. Show strong workplace safety attitudes and a keen eye for removing hazards. Be able to work independently, be a self‑starter, confident, and communicate well with others, especially kitchen staff. Demonstrate problem‑solving ability, ability to think on your feet, and initiative to perform at a high standard. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to make people feel welcomed. Be hard‑working, flexible, and have good availability to cover shifts. Benefits – Why Work for Us?
