Then you have the magic to be Team Merlin at SEA LIFE Melbourne About The Role We are seeking a full‑time Electrician – Maintenance Technician to join the SEA LIFE team. This role will primarily involve daytime hours, but as the attraction operates 7 days a week, some weekend work will be required, along with participation in an on‑call roster. Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance and repairs across the site, including Life Support Systems and general building infrastructure Conduct Test and Tag procedures in accordance with AS3760 and maintain accurate records Diagnose and repair small refrigeration systems Carry out general and preventative maintenance tasks, including basic mechanical, carpentry and plumbing work Respond to building alarms both onsite and remotely Assist with contractor and supplier coordination, particularly for electrical and technical services Perform pre‑opening and routine preventive inspections of building assets About You You will be highly self‑motivated with experience in building maintenance. Holding an ‘A’ grade Electrician licence alongside Australian cabler registration is considered advantageous but not required. This is a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment – no two days are the same – so the ability to think on your feet, problem‑solve and use your initiative will be key. You are a strong communicator who can build rapport across the business, and you possess a flexible, adaptable approach with demonstrated planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
