With an enrolment of around 300 students, 86% of whom come from language backgrounds other than English, our school proudly reflects and celebrates the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of its community. Rebuilt and reopened in January 2024, the school features nine innovative Learning Hubs designed to foster collaboration and maximise student growth in literacy and numeracy. Our school is committed to evidence‑based, data‑informed teaching through the explicit teaching model, ensuring that all students – particularly those learning English as an additional language or dialect (EAL/D) – are supported to connect, thrive and succeed. Selection Criteria Approval to teach English as an Additional Language or Dialect or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in English as an Additional Language or Dialect qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. Demonstrated experience in effectively incorporating a range of evidence‑based EAL/D strategies into daily classroom practice to enhance student engagement and curriculum differentiation, inclusive of HPGE students, while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team in an open learning environment to support the literacy and English language development of EAL/D students, including New Arrival students. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity. Special Notes If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher English as an Additional Language or Dialect qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 12 months.
