Role Description: The Integrated Assurance Business Partner positions are newly created opportunities within our Internal Audit team based at our Perth Central Park office. Multiple roles are available for experienced professionals who are passionate about governance, risk, and assurance. In these roles, the successful candidates will play a key part in embedding Synergy’s Integrated Assurance Framework, aligning assurance activities within the Three Lines Model, and uplifting the quality of internal controls across the organisation. They will partner with business units to design and deliver control validation programs, conduct risk assessments, and build first-line capability through training and guidance. As trusted advisors, the Integrated Assurance Business Partners will foster a shared understanding of risk and assurance requirements, provide actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organisational resilience. These roles offer a unique opportunity to influence governance practices, work across diverse teams, and contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Job responsibilities: Embed the Integrated Assurance Framework across all business units by partnering with stakeholders and supporting the delivery of key project milestones. Design and deliver control validation programs and risk assessments to uplift first-line assurance capability and improve internal controls. Provide training, knowledge sharing, and specialist guidance to risk and control owners, building organisational maturity in assurance practices. Extract actionable insights and benchmarking data to inform risk management improvements and strengthen governance processes. Engage and educate stakeholders on integrated assurance practices, fostering collaboration and a shared understanding of priorities and requirements. What you will bring: A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related technical field. 3-5 years’ experience in Internal Audit, Risk Assurance, or a similar governance role. Strong understanding of assurance and risk management practices within the Three Lines of Defense Model, ideally in the Australian regulatory context. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and advise senior stakeholders. Proven ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques, demonstrate resilience, and adapt to change in complex environments. So, what's it like working for Synergy?
