Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Assurance Specialistto join our team and support the ongoing development of a strong and transparent control environment. In this role, you will deliver risk‑based assurance activities that evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our controls, compliance, and operational processes helping ensure our operations meet regulatory obligations and business expectations. What you’ll do: Plan and conduct assurance reviews from scoping through to reporting, identifying opportunities to improve internal controls and compliance. Provide practical, risk informed recommendations that address root causes and drive process improvement. Track and validate management actions, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and within agreed timeframes. Use the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system to manage assurance activities, reporting and follow‑up activities. Prepare high quality reports and assist in compiling Board Committee papers on assurance activities and audit outcomes. Support coordination and quality oversight of internal and external assurance providers. Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties including regulators, tenants, and auditors. About you: CA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent professional qualification, with at least 5 years’ post‑qualification experience in audit or assurance. Demonstrated experience in a complex regulatory or operational environment. Strong risk analysis capabilities and control assessment techniques. Proven ability to write clear, concise, and insightful audit reports. High attention to detail and sound business acumen. Experience using Governance, Risk and Compliance software is desirable. Communicates effectively and confidently in various settings, including with senior executives and external providers.
