Australian Office of Parliamentary Counsel – Canberra ACT As the Director, Product and Services in the Publications section, you will be responsible for leadership and management of the operational aspects of Publications, including the Federal Register of Legislation product and managing key strategic relationships particularly for stakeholder education. This role will support OPC’s objective to make legislation accessible to all Australians. Responsibilities Provide leadership and management to establish priorities, monitor and report on progress and work to deliver effective and efficient operational services Oversee operational work, projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment of strategic goals Develop long-term plans and strategies that align with the needs of stakeholders to access and understand the law Identify opportunities for business improvements and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Identify and manage risk in all areas of decision‑making Provide coaching, mentorship and development opportunities to ensure the ongoing success of Publications Undertake other duties or functions as directed by First Parliamentary Counsel or the General Manager Publishing Eligibility Be an Australian Citizen Be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance to Baseline status About the Office of Parliamentary Counsel The Office of Parliamentary Counsel (OPC) is a small Commonwealth government agency that provides clear, effective and accessible Commonwealth law for all Australians. We do this by drafting Bills for the Commonwealth government and a significant proportion of Commonwealth legislative instruments. We also provide comprehensive, free access to Commonwealth legislation through the Federal Register of Legislation website, prepare compilations of Commonwealth legislation, and register Commonwealth Acts and instruments on behalf of more than 70 agencies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
