Director, Learning Creation and Functions Applications are invited from leaders who have a passion for organisational development, strategic innovation, and creating high-impact training to join the Organisational Capability Unit (OCU) as the Director, Learning Creation and Functions (Senior Officer Grade B). This is a permanent opportunity. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. The Director, Learning Creation and Functions is primarily responsible for the strategic planning and management of ACTCS training programs, the organisation’s Learning Management System and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operations on behalf of the high managerial agent and RTO CEO. This position is required to lead a high-performing team and drive strategic transformation by overseeing key projects and shaping the future of training through innovative program design and leading the administrative functions of the OCU. The successful applicant will demonstrate their highly developed oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate, engage, influence and negotiate with senior executives, government stakeholders, and external partners. Eligibility/Other requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in training and assessment, design and/or development are highly desirable. Relevant tertiary qualifications in leadership and/or management are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police check. This position requires a pre-employment medical. Driver’s licence Class C is essential. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated. Notes: This is a permanent full-time position.
