Job Overview Duration: Until June 2026 + Possibility of extension Location: Canberra (Hybrid) Security clearance required: NV1 Clearance Green Light Worldwide has a requirement with our client partner for a Technical Tester to join their team. The role focuses on executing technical testing activities across complex network and security infrastructure projects, ensuring robust performance, compliance, and integration of Fortinet solutions. This position suits a technically skilled professional with a background in network design, implementation, or security engineering who is eager to apply their expertise in a testing environment and pivot into broader program activities once testing is complete. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and execute test cases for Fortinet-based network and security infrastructure. Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing for Fortinet components (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, FortiSwitch). Validate firewall rules, VPN configurations, routing, and security policies. Collaborate with network designers, implementers, and solution architects to ensure alignment of test scenarios with system design. Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed analysis and recommendations. Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during system and user acceptance testing. Participate in design and implementation discussions to contribute testing insights. Assist in developing test documentation, reports, and evidence for compliance and audit purposes. After completion of testing phases, contribute to broader program streams (e.g., implementation validation, transition, or post‑deployment support). Requirements Strong experience with Fortinet security solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, etc.). Background in network design, configuration, and implementation within enterprise or government environments. Understanding of network protocols, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching. Experience in developing and executing test scripts for network and security systems. Familiarity with network monitoring, packet capture, and troubleshooting tools. Ability to work collaboratively in a technical program team environment. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
