Security Officer - RPAH at Northern NSW Local Health District Employment Type : Permanent, Full Time, 38 hours per week Position Classification : Security Officer Remuneration : $63,176 per annum + Superannuation Location : Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Requisition ID : REQ About the Role You will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, one of Australia’s most respected hospitals. The role is within a multi‑faceted health facility, placing a strong emphasis on positive engagement with clinical teams, patients and their families. You will provide security services for the protection of people, property and crime prevention across Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities, taking proactive steps in the early identification and prevention of incidents. Key Responsibilities • Proactively identify and prevent incidents. • Engage positively with staff, patients, visitors and families. • Provide compassionate support and maintain a safe environment. • Rotate across district facilities on a 24/7, 12‑hour shift roster. Ideal Candidate / Qualifications Licensed under the Security Industry Act 1997 – Class 1 A, current Senior First Aid Certificate and NSW driver licence (P1 or P2 acceptable). Ability to work 12‑hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster across the district. Demonstrated interest and ability to provide compassionate support to patients, visitors and staff.
