Associate Lecturer / Lecturer – Clinical Exercise Physiology Join The University of Queensland as an accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist in a teaching-focused associate lecturer / lecturer role. The position offers a flexible, full-time, fixed-term appointment of up to three years, based at the St Lucia campus. Salary – Level A : $82,057 – $109,246 + 17% Superannuation Salary – Level B : $114,824 – $136,048 + 17% Superannuation Full-time (100 %) Fixed-term up to 3 years Key Responsibilities – Level A (Associate Lecturer) Teach and coordinate core undergraduate and honours courses in clinical exercise physiology and exercise / sport science. Manage four core courses, ensure accreditation compliance, oversee student-led clinics, and implement student‑centric pedagogies. Contribute to teaching scholarship and apply for external funding linked to clinic outcomes. Publish in peer‑reviewed outlets. Participate in school committees, service, and community engagement activities. Key Responsibilities – Level B (Lecturer) Enhance course delivery across diverse settings using evidence‑based pedagogies, including blended and online delivery. Coordinate courses, design curricula and assessments, and support new programme development. Advance a developing profile in teaching and learning scholarship, secure external funding, and publish in high‑quality outlets. Build national disciplinary recognition. Lead in UQ values, collaborate with colleagues, and support school priorities. About You – Minimum Qualifications PhD (or equivalent) in Clinical Exercise Physiology and / or Exercise & Sport Science. Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) or eligibility for rapid accreditation. Level A – Associate Lecturer Developing teaching and research profile in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Early‑career publication track record and conference presence. Ability to secure or contribute to external research funding. Demonstrated high‑quality teaching across diverse settings. Experience coordinating courses and curriculum innovation. Engagement in internal service and meaningful external activities. Level B – Lecturer Proven university teaching excellence and course coordination experience. Growing impact in teaching and an emerging research profile with strong outputs. Contribution to curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical improvement projects, ideally with funded work. Experience developing programmes or courses within the discipline. Involvement in supervision of Honours or HDR students (where appropriate). Strong communication and collaborative skills across academic teams.
