Are you a talented Merchandise Assistant/Buyers Assistant from a retail support office environment looking for an opportunity to join a fast-paced Category team? We are looking for someone with a true passion for product and pets, to work in our fast paced but rewarding Specialty Category. You will be passionate about specialty retail, organised, focused and driven to have a strong buying career. This is a highly administrative role so you must be detail focused and have strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail. Key responsibilities will include: Maintaining product and range file, data integrity and updates Support in the preparation of brand presentations and sales reports Assisting with category performance analysis Assist with range reviews analysis Compile supplier promotional plans Providing all administrative support as required to the category team Working across and collaborating with all internal stakeholders from Stores, Supply Chain, Marketing and Space Planning Teams What do we need? This category is a growing and evolving category so you need to have strong experience in a similar role Someone that is passionate about specialty retail with a true focus on building a buying career and wanting to progress You will be detail focused and super organised with excellent analytical skills (you are advanced in excel , you can pull data, build graphs etc) Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Merchandise Assistant in a fast-paced retail support office environment will be highly regarded You must have experience reporting and analysing data with intermediate to advanced excel skills, including V Look-Up and Pivot tables Proven experience in multi-tasking and managing multiple stakeholders Outstanding communication skills- you will be the first point of contact for suppliers, store teams and other departments throughout the office You will be looking for an opportunity to be mentored into a future buying role and will have a "can-do" attitude to all tasks given to you You will have an outstanding attitude where no problem is too big or too small, you will be collaborative and a true team player What's in it for you?
