They work collaboratively with the grounds team under the direction of the Principal. Selection Criteria Be supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education ensuring that the wellbeing of all students is a priority in every task undertaken. Have demonstrated experience in grounds or property maintenance. Possess basic trade or handyman skills and experience in the operation of garden and grounds machinery and tools. Show initiative, be able to work independently and manage time effectively. Have good physical fitness with the ability to undertake manual labour. Display strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate and oversee trade work. Demonstrate flexibility, reliability and initiative in responding to the changing school needs. Promote positive workplace behaviour and maintain a clean, safe, and well‑presented school environment by following all safe work practices under WHS requirements. 38 Hours per week. Hours of work: 7.00am to 3.00pm (negotiable). Qualifications Required Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent industry experience). Current Driver's licence. White Card (Construction Induction Training, WA) preferred. Department of Education National Criminal History Check. Willingness to work towards Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School. Desirable: Experience in grounds or facility maintenance with a school or community organisation.
