Mater Christi Catholic Primary School – Yangebup School Principal: Mrs Joanne Scouler School Address: PO Box 3077 Success WA 6964 Type: Full-Time Term: Temporary Position Details Groundsperson Mater Christi Catholic Primary School is a three stream co‑educational school catering for approximately 700 students from Early Learning (Pre‑kindy) to Year Six. We are a modern and well‑resourced school positioned within a peaceful environment overlooking Yangebup Lake, 20 minutes south of Perth. The Groundsperson plays an important role in ensuring our school’s grounds and facilities are safe, functional, and visually appealing. They work collaboratively with the Head Groundsperson to carry out their duties under the direction of the Principal. This position could be offered as a part‑time role to a suitable candidate. Selection Criteria Supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education, ensuring that the wellbeing of all students is a priority in every task undertaken. Competent in the safe operation of machinery and tools such as ride‑on mowers, blowers, edgers, etc. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Good physical fitness with the ability to undertake manual labour. Effective communication (verbal and written). Demonstrates flexibility, reliability and initiative in responding to changing school needs. Promotes positive workplace behaviour and maintains a clean, safe and well‑presented school environment by following all safe work practices under WHS requirements and codes of conduct. Commitment to 38 hours per week, 7.00 am to 3.00 pm (negotiable). Qualifications Required Current driver’s licence. Department of Education National Criminal History Check. Willingness to work towards accreditation to work in a Catholic school. Desirable: Experience in grounds work within a school or community organisation.
