As our new Technical Security Specialist , you'll join a growing team where your hands‑on engineering skills will help safeguard member data and accounts. You'll develop and maintain technical security controls and capabilities across all areas of IT Security, including network security, cloud security, data loss prevention, endpoint security, devsecops, and more. You’ll work with a broad technical stack, including the full Microsoft suite, and your role will focus on driving innovation through scripting, automation, and AI‑powered solutions. You'll develop advanced tooling, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and resilience. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with other technologists to ensure the integrity of the technical estate, contribute to ITIL processes, and improve security controls. You'll demonstrate curiosity and a methodical, scientific approach to innovation, helping to streamline and safeguard the Fund's end‑to‑end technology landscape. What You’ll Need Strong scripting and automation skills, in Python or PowerShell. Understanding of networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, firewall principles. Experience with endpoint security (Microsoft Windows and Linux). Understanding of Microsoft Azure Security. Understanding of vulnerability management, patching processes, and vulnerability scanning. Experience with identity and access management, authentication protocols, and role‐based access control. Strong understanding of contemporary threat landscape, cyber security threats, and countermeasures.
