Classification : ANU Officer 8(Research) Salary package : $118,399 - $126,607 per annum (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation Terms : Part-time (28 hours per week), Fixed term (up to 2 years until January 2028) Position overview The School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics is seeking to hire a Research Project Manager to lead a project identifying and supporting oral history collections. This project forms part of the Language Data Commons of Australia, working to identify and support language collections. It follows on from the successful Identifying Precarious Victorian Oral History Collections Project, which gathered much valuable information about precarious oral history collections across Victoria. The main goals for this position are to : (1) lead a project identifying precarious oral history collections across NSW and the ACT; (2) identify and undertake the next steps for the Victorian project, looking to how best support the collections that have been identified; (3) determine appropriate next steps toward identification and further support for oral history collections over the 2-year period of this position and beyond. The work will involve leading and managing all aspects of the project, including project design, promotion and implementation, and the development of tangible project outputs, as well as liaising with key stakeholders from oral history-related organisations and institutions and being a member of the broader LDaCA team. The Research Project Manager should have a post‑graduate qualification (completed or in progress); a background in oral history; and experience in project management, including an ability to take initiative and to work independently. This position is funded by the Language Data Commons of Australia (DOI : / kq2v-9g52), a co‑investment partnership with the Australian ResearchDataCommons(ARDC) through the HASS and Indigenous ResearchDataCommons. The ARDC is enabled by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
