Working within Fisheries Queensland, in the Reporting, Information and Digital Solutions team, you will be responsible for leading a team that oversees and improves Fisheries Queensland’s information systems, provides operational and educational support to stakeholders and manages the input and output of data to assist in managing the sustainability of Queensland’s Fisheries. Provide strong leadership to a number of multidisciplinary teams, manage assets, budgets and resourcing to ensure Fisheries Queensland objectives are met. Guide and support your multidisciplinary teams to effectively manage and enhance systems and programs that the Reporting, Information and Digital Solutions team are responsible for including: data analysis, validation and presentation quota, vessel tracking and logbook programs commercial and recreational fishing applications Fisheries Management System suite of applications and databases education and onboarding of stakeholders Foster innovation, problem solving and collaboration to simplify and streamline processes and programs for internal and external stakeholders. Lead and support the team in interpreting and applying legislation and policy. Build and maintain long‑term, strategic relationships with stakeholders, service providers and partners to ensure reporting programs, systems and applications are well supported, operating effectively and meeting the objectives of Fisheries Queensland. Lead and maintain oversight of any digital, data and reporting projects and initiatives within the team and ensure effective governance, risk management and contract management. Work closely with all divisions of Fisheries Queensland and external stakeholders to ensure proactive planning, delivery and successful uptake of new systems and business or reporting processes. Liaise with other fisheries jurisdictions and government agencies across Australia to ensure an integrated and national approach to reporting, systems management and data/information sharing. Support the Director of Reporting, Information and Digital Solutions and provide expert and timely advice to DPI senior executives on the Reporting, Information and Digital Solutions teams areas of responsibility.
