The Digital, Technology & Distribution segment within Caterpillar is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the team based in our state‑of‑the‑art Brisbane CBD office. This position primarily supports a key segment of Cat Technology portfolio, customer coverage across Australia and New Zealand territories, working as part of a global diverse team driving our people strategy. It will report to the Human Resources Manager based in the United States. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Provide direction and guidance to employees and leaders on interpretation and application of employee‑related policies, practices and procedures, and applicable laws. Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team within the Cat Technology group. Lead local and global projects on people matters. In partnership with leaders, provide talent development solutions to improve employee engagement, leadership acumen and business results. Assist managers in addressing individual and organisational effectiveness issues. Partner with the talent attraction team and hiring managers to source top talent. Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Prior working experience in a Human Resources function. Proficient in the full MS Office suite. Experience with Workday is an advantage. Top Candidates Will Have The Following Skills And Attributes Labour law and regulations governing the Human Resources function. Sound understanding of human resources policies, practices, and procedures. Effective communicator with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation. Excellent customer service. Demonstrated ability to analyse situations, make decisions and take measured risks using available data and insight. Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive issues. Understanding of total rewards strategies, including unique benefits for mine sites in Australia.
