To learn more about The Wave – About this role Working within Queensland Rail’s MPI team, the Project Director role will see you joining the team for the new WAVE rail project. You will lead and manage the successful delivery and integration of the project. Purpose That Counts – Responsibilities Provide leadership, technical and professional guidance to design, planning and delivery teams within the project Manage the delivery of the project in accordance with budgets, schedules, safety targets and project performance measures Provide a high level of reporting to key stakeholders which will include variations to cost, time or quality risks and agreed deliverables Ensure expected enterprise project management frameworks and governance arrangements are adhered to Lead and provide clear direction and development of the project to ensure delivery of results in a highly complex and diverse brownfield environment People Who Count – Qualifications You must have a high level of skill and experience in leading the strategic direction of a complex major infrastructure project from development to construction Extensive knowledge of rail transport operations including legislation and organisational governance High level of skill in contract negotiation, management and reporting within various delivery models High level of influencing, interpersonal, communication and consultation skills Apply Apply for one of our Project Director roles via our website by clicking the apply button before 11.59pm Sunday 25th January 2026 .
