Overview Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services. We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities. The Role: We’re looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager who thrives on turning numbers into stories and insights that drive impact. This is a pivotal role where you’ll lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring our financial performance is strong, sustainable, and aligned with our multi‑year strategy. You’ll be the go‑to partner for the CEO, Leadership Team and Board, translating strategic goals into financial plans, spotting opportunities, and helping shape decisions that make a real difference in the lives of young people. Key Duties Annual budgeting and forecasting Oversight of the annual financial planning and budgeting process, including identifying and implementing improvements Preparation and maintenance of financial models including multi-year strategic financial models Supporting and overseeing organisation-wide financial forecasting, to understand financial performance and to manage risk Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and systems Multi-year planning Supporting the development of long-term strategic plans by providing financial insights and projections Development and management of multi-year financial models Collaboration with senior leaders, including the CEO and Leadership Team, to understand strategic goals and interpret into financial plans Financial analysis Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost improvement, efficiency, and redirection of funds Provision of insightful reports containing both financial and non-financial information for the Executive, Board and other key stakeholders Providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management Monitoring performance against business plans by analysing data and providing comprehensive insight into performance drivers Support to the development of strategic business cases, providing insight and financial analysis capability as needed Management of the organisation’s cash flow forecast, ensuring that cash requirements are understood and associated risks are managed Business partnering and financial management Develop partnering relationships with senior stakeholders to understand financial performance and trends in financial information, and applying this to inform decision making and strategic planning Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and assessing financial performance against forecasts Collaboration with the Finance Manager / Financial Accounting team as needed to understand and interpret financial results, analyse variances and obtain information needed to support decision making Qualifications Relevant professional / academic qualification (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA, CA, or MBA preferred)) Experience 5-7+ years’ experience in a commercial and analysis focused finance and accounting role Advanced Excel and financial modelling Experience reporting to Executive and Board stakeholders Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Detailed financial budgeting and forecasting experience Required Skills & Abilities Analytical mindset : You love digging into data and uncovering the story behind the numbers.
