Research Assistant - Children’s Diabetes Centre Nedlands, WA A$15,899 p/a Healthcare & Medical → Clinical/Medical Research Hybrid Posted 1 day ago The Opportunity The Children’s Diabetes Centre of The Kids Research Institute Australia, together with the Diabetes Service of Perth Children’s Hospital, is an integrated research and clinical centre. The key focus of our work is to improve the health of children, adolescents and young people living with type 1 diabetes and we are now looking for a motivated Research Assistant to join us. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be fundamental in providing research support and helping to ensure the efficient running of clinical research studies. Key Responsibilities Assisting with recruitment and consent of eligible study participants. Handling and processing biological samples. Creation and maintenance of databases. Collection of study related data. Contributing to the analysis of study data. Assisting in the preparation of reports, writing papers and presentations. About You The ideal candidate will have an interest in diabetes research coupled with great people skills and experience in a research environment. Key Qualifications A Bachelor of Science or Biomedical Science Degree. Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office suite. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience in data analysis and database management. Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people both internally and externally. Previous experience in participant recruitment will be highly regarded but is not essential for this role.
