Full-time, fixed term (12 month) opportunity commencing early. $83,283 - $91,103 (G05) plus 17% superannuation Based at our Bentley Campus. About the Role Curtin University's EnAble Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support growing research and implementation activities within the Dementia Centre of Excellence. This role will contribute directly to emerging work in dementia risk reduction, public health, and healthy brain ageing, helping build capacity for research translation into practice and policy. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Research Fellow and collaborate with researchers, students, and external partners to support the Centre's expanding focus on co-designed, implementation-focused research. This is an exciting opportunity to help advance evidence-informed approaches that improve brain health outcomes across Western Australia and beyond. Responsibilities Coordinate and prepare materials for research activities, experiments, fieldwork and workshops. Liaise with research participants, project partners, and stakeholders to arrange activities. Conduct experiments and contribute to data collection activities using appropriate research methods and protocols. Undertake literature reviews and preliminary data analysis. Assist with preparing funding applications, research reports, presentations, and academic publications. Support conference and workshop organisation. Maintain research records and contribute to updating relevant databases. Work collaboratively across the Dementia Centre of Excellence and perform other reasonable duties aligned with the position. Selection Criteria Relevant degree, or an equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience. Experience using scientific and/or research methods, techniques, and protocols. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to collate and analyse data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear documentation and effective liaison with colleagues and stakeholders. Competence using word‑processing and spreadsheet software to generate reports. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
