Penrith Panthers are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Steward with excellent attention to detail to join their busy and friendly team. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic team player to join our fast paced and friendly kitchen team. Working behind the scenes, your contribution to the team is vital to the successful operation of our two busy kitchens. You will be responsible for the daily cleaning of kitchens, food storage areas and preparation of machinery and equipment. You will thrive on a job well done and be self‑motivated to make sure the kitchen areas are well presented and cleaned at all times. Responsibilities Daily cleaning of kitchens and food storage areas Cleaning of kitchen tools, machinery, appliances and utensils Ensuring the kitchen area meets health and safety standards Ensuring the correct use and storage of chemicals and equipment Assisting during Panthers Home Games, transferring food and crockery to offsite venues when required Supporting the Kitchen Team with other general duties as required Requirements At least 6 months experience in a similar role (advantageous) Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Good physical fitness – lifting and carrying kitchen items Ability to work and remain calm under pressure Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment Strong pride in your work and satisfaction in a job well done Flexibility and reliability to work nights, weekends and public holidays Benefits Supportive team that gives back to employees 40% discount at Panthers owned food outlets 20% discount on Panthers merchandise Award and recognition programs Learning, development and career growth opportunities Staff get‑togethers and more You will be punctual, have a strong work ethic and a positive and happy attitude to work.
