Senior Clinical Coder, Auditor and Educator – NT Health NT Health's vision is to provide an integrated, high-quality, and sustainable health system that delivers improved outcomes for all Territorians. NT Clinical Coding supports this mission by ensuring the accurate and timely collection of hospital data in accordance with national standards, enabling effective service planning, funding, and reporting. Overview As a Senior Clinical Coder, Auditor and Educator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of NT Health's hospital data. This position is responsible for undertaking high-level coding activities in accordance with the Australian Coding Standards (ACS), performing regular coding audits, and mentoring Clinical Coding and Clinical Documentation Improvement staff across NT hospitals. You will also provide education, guidance, and feedback to support staff development, enhance coding accuracy, and ensure accurate Activity Based Funding (ABF) outcomes. Qualifications Completion of an advanced clinical coding course and / or a certificate in Clinical Coding Auditing for ICD-10-AM / ACHI / ACS. Minimum of 5 years' experience coding in an Australian hospital environment. Strong understanding of the Australian Coding Standards, ABF models, and clinical documentation requirements. Proven ability to conduct audits, mentor staff, and provide constructive education and feedback. Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills, with an awareness of cross-cultural sensitivity. Qualification in Health Information Management and / or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
