They specialise in designing and implementing state‑of‑the‑art fire protection solutions for data centre, commercial, industrial and metro projects. Due to a high volume of projects – they are looking to add an experienced Fire Services Designer to their team. About The Role As a Fire Services Designer, you will play a key role in designing fire protection systems for a wide range of projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to create customised fire protection solutions that adhere to industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and project specifications. Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for designing fire safety solutions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems. Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address their concerns and provide technical expertise. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in designing fire protection systems, working for a contractor. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and Hyena for hydraulic calculations. Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
