About the Role Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of occupational therapy services to a community-based adult caseload with Acquired Brain Injury. Duties include: Providing occupational therapy services and evaluating best practice within a multidisciplinary team. Maintaining evidence based and contemporary practice. Implementing innovation to problem solve the needs of people living with brain injury. The incumbent also assists the Senior Occupational Therapist by: Contributing to the development of occupational therapy services within BISA as a member of the occupational therapy team. Pursuing evidence-based practice and innovating in service delivery when required. Contributing to the skill development of occupational therapy students. Qualifications / Registrations: Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy. Professional Registration with AHPRA. Highly developed interpersonal skills incorporating excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills. Current (within the last 3 years) Disability Worker Check and DCSI Child related employment screening/Working with Children check. NDIS knowledge / experience. Experience in Neurological Occupational Therapy assessment and service delivery with Adults with ABI. Core Competencies: Demonstrated Clinical practice and case load management.
