Specialist in Respiratory Medicine - Clinical Immunology (Fractional) Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Respiratory Medicine - Clinical Immunology (Fractional), responsible to the Service Head, Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology to work 8.75 hours per week. The role provides clinical care to patients primarily within the Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Service and is also actively engaged in patient care, research and education. The focus of the clinical role will be to undertake care of patients with allergic and immunologic conditions, and asthma, including drug allergy testing, food challenges, and other allergy‑related procedures according to Alfred Health and ASCIA protocols. Responsibilities Provide clinical care to patients with allergic and immunologic conditions, and asthma within the Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Service. Conduct drug allergy testing, food challenges, and other allergy‑related procedures in line with Alfred Health and ASCIA protocols. Actively engage in patient care, research and education. Collate and manage patient records and contribute to service quality improvement. Qualifications Legally qualified medical practitioner, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Substantial experience in Clinical Allergy & Immunology, meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Allergy, Immunology and Respiratory Medicine. Experience in allergy procedures, ideally including laryngoscopy during oral food challenge. Immunopathology experience desirable. Further experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research desirable.
